Rebecca DeLuccia Recognized for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Student Mentorship

Posted in: Information Management and Business Analytics

Rebecca DeLuccia, Assistant Teaching Professor in the Information Management and Business Analytics department at the Feliciano School of Business, continues to advance innovation and entrepreneurship through her work as an inventor, business owner, and educator.

Most recently, DeLuccia received her fourth U.S. utility patent for the DAE Lead® Canine Coaching System, expanding a growing portfolio of patented animal training devices developed through her company, Hundhaus Designs LLC. The patent represents another milestone in her efforts to bring innovative solutions to the pet training industry while demonstrating the impact of research, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

In recognition of her accomplishments as an inventor, DeLuccia was selected to participate in the Congressional Innovation Project’s Women’s Innovation Showcase on Capitol Hill during Women’s History Month. The event brought together innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders to highlight the contributions of women inventors while addressing challenges women continue to face in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the patenting process.

DeLuccia’s commitment to innovation also extends to creating opportunities for students. Through a Career Accelerator Internship Grant awarded to Hundhaus Designs LLC, two Feliciano School of Business students will gain hands-on professional experience this summer while supporting the growth of the company. Christopher Cheff will serve as Social Media Marketing Intern, while MBA student Rajkumar Ramoliya will work as Business Operations and Finance Intern.

The grant provides funding of up to $4,000 per student and supports experiential learning opportunities that allow students to build practical skills, receive professional mentorship, and strengthen their résumés through real-world business experience.

Through her work as an educator, entrepreneur, and inventor, DeLuccia continues to exemplify the Feliciano School of Business’s commitment to innovation, applied learning, and student success.
