Business Minor

Possessing an appreciation of fundamental business principles is an essential component of long-term financial and professional success. Business impacts everyone – regardless of what you may choose to study or where you may ultimately work. We encourage you to follow your passion by studying in your field of choice here at Montclair State University. However, we also believe that it’s important for you to have the opportunity to augment your intellectual interests with the requisite business knowledge that will help you maximize your success. Montclair State’s Minor in Business Administration will serve to enhance your major by adding core knowledge that will help you succeed in your chosen field of study. Whether you are doing your own taxes, managing people, following your dream of owning a small business or just running your household finances, our minor will help you accomplish your goals.

From Teaching to Biology and from Dance to Psychology, every major and its related industries require an understanding of business principles. At Montclair State, most majors allow room for minor credits. The 18 credits can be used as free electives and can be used toward graduation credits. The minor will be listed on your record and will be one more positive achievement for your resume, differentiating you from the other applicants in your job search.

If you have questions prior to adding a minor, please feel free to contact us directly in the Feliciano School of Business Student Services Office at 973-655-4303, and we can sit down with you one on one and discuss your options.
