Montclair State University’s teacher education program boasts a rich history of national accreditation. As one of the pioneering institutions accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in 1954, we have maintained our accreditation continuously as NCATE transformed into the esteemed Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
