Montclair’s MOU partner university in Vietnam is the Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Resources & Environment (HCMUNRE), a public university in Vietnam which provides research and education in environmental science and is one of two national universities affiliated with the National Ministry of Environment. The Department of Earth & Environmental studies intends to offer a MS in sustainability science targeted to overseas students as early as the Spring Semester, 2016. This program offers both on-line and on-site courses in sustainability science, environmental studies, and geoscience that would lead to the MS degree in Sustainability Science. It offers the opportunity for students from various backgrounds to study sustainability issues and seeks to foster student research collaborations across national borders. CSAM is also working with HCMUNRE to facilitate the transfer of undergraduate students in a two-year program in environmental management taught in English which follows a curriculum similar to programs in environmental science from New Jersey community colleges.
