Two-time Newbery-Award winner A.S. King Visits Montclair State

The Visiting Writers Committee is pleased to present award-winning author, photographer, poet, weaver, and speaker A.S. King.

King was named “One of the best Young Adult writers working today” by The New York Times Book Review and in 2022 received the Margaret A. Edwards Award for her significant and lasting contribution to YA literature.

King is on faculty at Vermont College of Fine Arts for the Writing for Children and Young Adults MFA program and travels the country speaking about the mental health of young people and censorship. After more than a decade living self-sufficiently and teaching literacy to adults in Ireland, she now lives in Pennsylvania.

There will be two open sessions:
