Earlier in the week, Montclair knocked off the Fighting Scots 11-6, but this time runs would prove to be hard to come by as each team plated all of its runs in one turn at bat.

Montclair would get their in the bottom of the third inning. Jay Bionde (Pompton Plains, NJ / Pequannock) and Mickey McGraw (Morristown, NJ / Morristown) each singled with one out and moved up a base on a wild pitch. After a second out, Bond got the big hit with a single scoring both runners as Montclair took a 2-0 lead. Bond would take second on the throw which turned out to be a big play as he scored on freshman Anthony Bowens' (Nutley, NJ / Nutley) RBI single as MSU led 3-0.

Wooster would get two runs back in the top of the fifth to make it a one-run game and the Scots put the first two runners on in the sixth before Hill pitched out of the jam keeping Montclair in front.

In the ninth, Wooster got a leadoff walk and a fielder's choice that put the tying run on second. Sophomore Jake Campbell (Sayreville, NJ / Sayreville War) got a pop up for the second out before Torregroza was summoned from the bullpen. Reynolds threw three pitches before getting a fly out on the fourth for the final out.

Hille picked up the win allowing nine hits and the two runs in seven innings. He struck out seven and walked one.

McGraw accounted for half of Montclair's hits in the game going 4-for-4.

The Red Hawks now begin to make their way northward but will stop in LaGrange, GA on Friday to take on LaGrange College at 7:00 pm.
