Montclair State Art and Design Faculty Art Exhibition

September 19 - October 15, 2005
Main Gallery, Life Hall
Reception: Thursday, September 22 from 6 - 8 p.m.

A selection of works by Montclair State University faculty members from the Department of Art and Design will include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and installation. This will be the final faculty show in the main art gallery before the opening of the new University Art Gallery space in 2006.

The Main Art Gallery is located in Life Hall, Rm. 135 next to Memorial Auditorium, Gallery One is above the Dumont Television Center on the second floor of the Life Hall Annex, and the Sculpture Garden is located directly behind the main gallery in Life Hall.

The MSU Art Galleries will be relocating to a new gallery space in 2006. The new locale will provide the gallery with three times the exhibition space, which in turn will allow the galleries to have many more extensive exhibitions in the coming years. With the inauguration of the new gallery, we look forward to the M.S.U. Art Galleries becoming a contemporary art destination in northern New Jersey.

The Montclair State University Art Galleries was established by the School of the Arts in 1969 as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to propagate culture and art through interpretive contemporary art exhibitions and presentation of related events using its collection as well as local, statewide, and international sources.
