On October 10, we recognized World Mental Health Day. This is particularly poignant given the heightened stress and emotion of the last week. Still, the mental health crisis on college campuses needs to be addressed every day.

The number of students facing mental health issues is staggering: according to the Journal of Affective Disorders, more than 60% of college students met the criteria for at least one mental health problem during the 2020–2021 school year. Unfortunately, Montclair State University is no exception.
