A Police Blotter is a way for the University Police Department to release information and share news about investigations, criminal incidents and arrests, to the community and to the people we serve.  This information may be updated as needed or on a real-time basis, depending on the nature of the information being shared.

Nov. 11, 2022: On-Campus Burglary

Please Note: A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Charges can be amended or dismissed.

November 11, 2022: Three unknown, masked individuals entered Bohn Hall and attempted to commit a burglary on a student’s residence room. A Montclair State University student was subsequently assaulted during the incident and the three individuals fled the scene.

November 11, 2022: University Police conducted a thorough investigation into the Bohn Hall attempted burglary. Montclair State University student Luxile Diony was arrested for his involvement in this matter.

November 16, 2022: Montclair State University student Ahmad Abdel-Jabbar was arrested for his involvement in this matter. Both Abdel-Jabbar and Luxile Diony were charged with criminal trespassing, burglary, simple assault, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

December 8, 2022: Daniel Chipelo (not a Montclair State University student) was arrested for his involvement in this matter and was charged with criminal trespassing, burglary, simple assault and conspiracy to commit burglary.
