The Coccia Institute for the Italian Experience in America in collaboration with the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies presented a book talk with Maria Laurino, author of “The Price of Children: Stolen Lives in a Land Without a Choice,” which was held on Monday, March 25th in the Feliciano School of Business.

The panel featured an introduction by Coccia Institute Director, Professor Mark Rotella, and featured panel moderator dott.ssa Teresa Fiore (Inserra Chair) and guest dott.ssa Erica Moretti (Fashion Institute of Technology). This event uncovered the stories of Italian children sent to America by the Vatican for adoption into Catholic families, which piqued the interest of a lively and engaged audience, packed with many questions for the author based on her research.
