Geological Society of America Awards PhD Student Memorialized Award and Grant
PhD candidate Hermann Bermudez received the award and grant to progress his research

Hermann received the Roscoe G.Jackson II Award and, for the second time, a Graduate Student Research Grant to conduct field work in Europe. The funds will support travel and research to continue the work done on the Chicxulub Mega-Earthquake geological info previously acquired in Colombia, Mexico and the USA. Hermann is working with Dr. Ying Cui on this project. The Roscoe G.Jackson II Award is an annual award to one student working in sedimentology.
