The master’s degree is the degree required for employment in many higher education administrative and leadership positions. At any one time, there are typically close to 400 job postings on HigherEd Jobs for individuals in the field of higher education administration. The MA in Educational Leadership/Higher Education prepares graduates for leadership positions in the following fields:

New Jersey has 57 colleges and universities, and postsecondary student enrollment in the state continues to grow. These colleges and universities need to employ well-trained and highly qualified professionals to work to meet the needs of the growing student and alumni population. This program offers the opportunity to affordably pursue a master’s degree in the field of higher education leadership locally, at an institution that is geographically accessible by car and public transportation.

View the results of the 2014-15 Professionals in Higher Education Salary Survey conducted by The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Findings reflect the salaries of 186,866 job incumbents in public and private institutions nationwide. Salaries were reported by 1,104 institutions for 289 selected positions.
