When is this program offered?

The 4-year BSN degree program enrolls once a year in the Fall.

When is the application deadline?

The School of Nursing’s deadline for application and notification of admission differs from the rest of the University. The final deadline for applications is February 1, 2024. Students will be notified of their official admission decision by April 1, 2024.

What coursework is required for entry into the program?

Am I able to transfer into this program?

The School of Nursing does not accept transfer students into this program.

What courses will I take if I am accepted into this program?

Is this program accredited?

Yes. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Montclair State University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

Will this program make me eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN?

Yes. Students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN upon successful completion of the program.

What is your NCLEX-RN pass rate?

The NCLEX-RN pass rate for the 4-year BSN degree program was 90.32% in 2023.

I have a bachelor’s degree in another field and want to become a nurse. Do you offer a program I am eligible for?
