International Faculty Development

About the Program

The OFE, in collaboration with the Office of International Academic Initiatives, has recently launched a new program focusing on the development of international faculty at Montclair. The new program’s overarching goal is to support the professional development and advancement of those faculty who have an international academic background and who have, at some point in their careers, found themselves adjusting to the specific challenges of the US higher education.

Listserv

The smaller-scale objectives of International Faculty Development program emerged in close conversation with international faculty members. Many faculty have highlighted a strong need for building a community network for international faculty on campus. In response to that request, we have started a listserv, which faculty who self-identify as international are welcome to join.

Additionally, we invite faculty to join the Montclair Global Club, run by Daniela Peterka-Benton, Martina Santia, Alfredo Toro-Carnevali, Bond Benton — it’s a great opportunity to find community and make great personal connections!

You can also promote relevant events and information through the listserv.
