Montclair State has a diverse and vibrant community of more than 4,500 graduate students studying in a variety of programs with on-campus, online, and hybrid modalities. In 2019, Montclair State was designated as a Carnegie R-2 Doctoral University – High Research Activity institution. Additionally, Montclair State was named a Top 25 LGBTQ Friendly Campus by College Consensus. The University is also a U.S. Department of Education-designated Hispanic-Serving Institution.
