CITI Progam

Montclair State University requires that all faculty, staff, students and visitors who conduct research that involves human participants must complete an initial training program on the protection of human participants.

Individuals who conduct research include but are not limited to:

  • all Principal and Co-Principal Investigators
  • any individuals who are
    • individually named on a grant or contract application
    • named in any documents related to the proposed project (e.g., informed consent documents, recruitment materials)

The Principal Investigator is responsible for providing training to the research team and must ensure that all members have completed the CITI Program – Basic Human Subjects Protection Course.
