Journey to the Moon

To coincide with the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, Montclair State University is offering a series of free public activities from October to November 2019 that explores New Jersey’s contributions to the Apollo program and space exploration in general as well as the role of New Jersey astronauts and scientists in advancing space exploration and science.

A number of important figures in the field including Buzz Aldrin, Mark and Scott Kelly have strong ties to Essex County. Other topics covered include the history of the Space race along with ethical and technological ramifications of space travel.
