What does “Reference” do? How Can Reference Librarians Help Me?

Our librarians are here to help! The Reference Desk on the first floor of the Sprague Library is here specifically to help you with your research. They’re available whenever the library is open if you have a question about how to start researching, use academic databases, find journals, or simply find out what collections are available at the library. Feel free to stop by if you have any inquiries.

Be sure to check out our Ask a Librarian service. You can text, call, chat or e-mail with a librarian for one-on-one help. You can search the FAQ to see if your question has already been answered, or see what other people are asking.

Need more in-depth help? You can book a research appointment to discuss your project face to face. You can even select an online appointment if you can’t make it to the library in person.
