Professors, Reserve your Textbooks Now!

Reserves Desk

With the Spring semester fast approaching, now is the time to put course material on reserve for your students! Making course materials (including textbooks, book chapters, articles and more) available for free at the library is wonderfully convenient, and it can help ease any financial strain they might be facing.

If the books are already in the Sprague Library Catalog, you can submit the request online using the new Course Reserves Request Form, and the items will be reserved on our shelves at the Access Services desk after a 2-week processing period. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can submit a Book Request Form and allow a longer time for processing. You can also fill out the Course Reserves Request Form and bring a personal copy of a book or a textbook to the Library, which will also become available after a 2-week processing period. Book chapters and articles can be scanned and uploaded to your Canvas course as PDF files if an electronic copy is not available in the library’s collection of online resources.

Looking for multimedia reserves? Still have more questions? Check out our full guide, Reserves Information for Faculty.

Let’s work together to make course materials more accessible for our students.
