Want to pick up a new skill, play a game in a relaxed environment, and meet new people? Chess Night at the Sprague Library is the perfect place to do all three! It resumes tonight in the lobby lounge at 6pm.

Chess Night takes place at the same time every Wednesday during the semester. It is an informal, drop-in event open to everyone! Players of all skill levels are welcome, whether to show their skills or learn from step one. The event is overseen by the library’s Access Services staff member, Patrick McGilloway.

If you’re looking to relieve stress on days when Chess Night isn’t running, consider helping out with one of the large puzzles around the library! There’s one in the lounge area on the 2nd floor, behind the shelves on the left when getting off the stairs. The 2nd floor also features some building sets to flex your creative muscles amid all that studying.

Our games and puzzles are always in rotation, so be sure to check back often!
