welcome to your library sign

The week of April 4-10, 2021 is National Library Week! This week has been celebrated nationwide since 1958, and is chock-full of events.

On Monday, April 5th, the State of America’s Libraries Report is released, including the Top Ten Frequently Challenged Books of 2020. Tuesday, April 6th is National Library Workers Day, a day to appreciate library faculty and staff and all their hard work. Nominate a library staff member through the Submit a Star program on the National Library Workers Day website. Wednesday, April 7th is National Library Outreach Day, a day to celebrate library outreach and connecting library users with what they need. Thursday, April 23rd is Take Action for Libraries Day; if you want, you can shout-out to the Sprague Library on our various social media! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram or add us on Facebook.
