The Sprague Library Archives is thrilled to receive a donation from Players (Montclair State University’s student-run on-campus theatre organization). This collection of historic materials is a treasure trove of scrapbooks, photographs, VHS records of performances, and other items dating back to 1934.
Maggie-Ann Aube, Players Artistic Director, commented on the donation:
“Players has such a long history here at Montclair that tells such a story in itself through these photos of the creative process and freedom students have and how when given the opportunity, can put on the most beautiful artwork!”
The staff at the Library Archives will work to preserve the materials and make them accessible. Our preservation process will begin with rehousing the materials into archival quality enclosures. We will then work on digitizing the materials and making them accessible to the campus community and to the public.
