Spring 2026 Graduate Student Journal Article Writing Group: Registration Open!

Are you a graduate student (or graduate school alum) working on preparing a journal article for publication? Learn more about the Graduate Student Journal Article Writing Group!
The writing group will run during the Spring 2026 semester (January 26th – April 24th), with weekly topics including:

Literature Review

Citation Management

Journal Selection

And more!
The program is mostly run asynchronously, though participants are required to attend one weekly synchronous writing session, with multiple sessions being offered each week. We will be using Wendy Laura Belcher’s book Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks to help facilitate discussions and writing.
If you are interested in joining, please consider attending one of the upcoming Zoom information sessions where we will discuss how the program will run, the expected time commitment, and answer any other questions you may have about the group.
The dates for Zoom information sessions are as followed:

Wednesday, October 15th at 12:00 p.m. -
Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. -
Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. -
Friday, November 14th at 12:30 p.m. - Tuesday, November 25th at 3:00 p.m.
To join the group, please fill out the current graduate student registration form (graduate student alumni should use the alumni registration form). A completed article draft is required to register. You do not need to attend an information session to join the group, but it is recommended. If you have questions, please contact the group’s Graduate Assistant, Emily Cepin, at cepine1@montclair.edu.
