German student wins full scholarship to Middlebury Language Schools

Kudos to student of German, Avelisse Guzman, and her mentors, Dr Pascale LaFountain and Dr Thomas Herold! Avelisse has won a full scholarship to attend the German School at Middlebury Language Schools, offered to students enrolled in Hispanic Serving Institutions. Avelisse began taking German in Fall 2021 for her World Language Requirement! In addition, she has won a Sister-City full-year scholarship to study in Graz, Austria; teaches at a German Saturday school here in New Jersey; and aspires to becomes a teacher of German!
