Careers

A language degree is incredibly versatile. Our graduates have landed spots in top graduate programs, while some go on to pursue careers in academia, international relations and government. They’ve also have found success in a wide variety of fields such as business, civil service, translation, public relations and more.

What can I do with a BA in one of the World Languages and Cultures programs?

We currently offer BAs in Arabic, French, German and Italian. Being able to think, understand, and communicate in another language is an asset to any job. While many of our majors go on to become professors, researchers, or translators — a career path that often requires a master’s degree — there are many interesting jobs for individuals who graduate with a BA alone.

Students can apply for entry-level jobs in areas including:

  • Tourism and Hospitality
  • Human Resources
  • Civil Services
  • Advertising and Marketing
  • International Business
  • Education
  • Health Services
