A Conversation with Michael Price ’81

Join us for an exclusive conversation with Michael Price ’81, Executive Producer and Writer for The Simpsons, and co-creator of F is for Family. A two-time Emmy Award-winning writer/producer, Michael Price is the Executive Producer and Showrunner of the acclaimed Netflix animated comedy series F IS FOR FAMILY, which he co-created with series star Bill Burr. Michael is also a Writer and Co-Executive Producer on THE SIMPSONS, where he has been on staff since 2002. In that time, he has written 20 episodes of THE SIMPSONS, served as a script consultant on THE SIMPSONS MOVIE and was on the writing team for the Academy Award-nominated short MAGGIE SIMPSON IN: THE LONGEST DAYCARE. Additionally, he’s written and Executive Produced a series of acclaimed LEGO STAR WARS specials for Cartoon Network and Disney XD. Price grew up in South Plainfield, New Jersey, and holds degrees in Theatre from Montclair State University and Tulane University. Prior to writing for television, he acted, directed and wrote plays with the Ironbound Theatre Company of Newark, NJ, and wrote and performed sketch comedy in New York with Gotham City Improv. His other television writing credits include THE PJS, WHAT ABOUT JOAN, TEEN ANGEL and HOMEBOYS IN OUTER SPACE. In animation, Michael has written for AAAAH! REAL MONSTERS (Nickelodeon), DISNEY’S HERCULES and DISNEY’S BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND, and DISNEY’S TEACHER’S PET. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Monica Holloway, author of the acclaimed memoirs Cowboy & Wills and Driving With Dead People, and their son, Wills.

Alumni, parents and students can stop by and say “cheese” in the photo booths!

Car Show

Registration for Cars: $10 online / $15 in person
Join us for our first-ever Car Show at Montclair State’s Homecoming! Cars of any type are welcome, and prizes will be given for the best in each category. All proceeds will benefit the Red Hawk Pantry, Montclair State’s food and supply pantry for students.

Kiddie Zone

Beer lovers unite! We are hosting our third annual Beer Garden at Homecoming! Local NJ breweries will be pouring their product at Kasser Theater in the lobby and on the veranda. Participating breweries include Flying Fish Brewing Company, Hoboken Brewing Company, 902 Brewing Company, 2nd Act Beer, Brix City Brewing, and Two Ton Brewing. Refreshments also include sliders, pretzels, and more.

The half-time festivities will include a performance by the Drums of Thunder and recognition of the Hall of Fame alumni. Discounted football tickets will be available at the Welcome Tent from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for $5.00.
Pricing: $10.00 – Adult; $5.00 – Non-MSU student, Senior Citizen, Child; Free admission for MSU student, staff and faculty with valid MSU ID.

Tickets to the symposium are offered to alumni for a discounted rate of $10 (normally $25), which includes the exhibition catalog.
