ADP Center Alumni have access to the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies. This center functions as a hub of innovation in pedagogy, curriculum instructional planning, educational technology and professional development within the Center of Pedagogy.
The ADP Center mission is to improve the quality of education for teacher education students, faculty, practicing teachers, counselors, administrators and others in professional careers in pre-K through secondary schools and post-secondary education by providing access to our more than 30,000 curriculum & instructional technology resources as well as the requisite support in using them. Alumni with a four year degree may audit a course through The Graduate School. To audit a course is to attend class regularly without the obligation of participating in class discussions, laboratory work, examinations, performances, or any class activity other than listening. Alumni are able to take advantage of the services offered by the Ben Samuels Children’s Center.
The Ben Samuels Children’s Center at Montclair State University is a model of excellence in the inclusive early care and education of children from birth through 5 years. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. With just a few exceptions, the Children’s Center is open when the University is open and closed when it is closed. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The Center for Writing Excellence is available to all alumni who are committed to developing and improving as writers, with in-person and online appointments available. Sessions with experienced writing consultants are designed to provide help on every aspect of the writing process, with the goal of enabling writers to achieve long-term improvement, confidence and independence.

Alumni are permitted to use the campus computer lab facilities located on the fifth floor of University Hall. An alumni photo ID card is required for access to the lab and computers.
Alumni have free admittance to Floyd Hall Arena during faculty/staff skate time, Monday through Friday. Floyd Hall Arena is Montclair State University’s two sheet ice skating arena used for local youth hockey leagues, figure skating and open skating. Alumni are eligible to enroll their children in the Gifted and Talented program. The program provides students with a balanced program of humanities, mathematics and the sciences. Courses stimulate higher order thinking skills and problem solving and include a diverse array of topics including forensics, robotics, fractals and infinity, debate, animation and cartooning. Alumni are invited to New Jersey Jackals games at Yogi Berra Stadium, located on the campus of Montclair State University.
The New Jersey Jackals are a professional baseball team and are a member of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball. Alumni can take advantage of a discounted membership rate at the state-of-the art Student Recreation Center on campus. The recreation center features a variety of collaborative recreational offerings, including Fitness and Group Exercise, Intramural Sports, Special Events, Off-Campus Trips, Sport Clubs, Co-Sponsorships, and more. Alumni have access to The Center for Adult Learning, which oversees the Older Adult Tuition Waiver (OLA) Program for New Jersey residents, age 65 or over. The OLA program allows students to take courses on a space-available, tuition-waived basis. Students are only responsible for the student fees plus a $40 administrative fee each semester enrolled.
Students with a high school diploma or its equivalence may take undergraduate courses. Students with an undergraduate degree may take undergraduate or graduate courses, but must pay graduate fees regardless of the course level.
