Entrepreneurship

“The road to success is always under construction.” — Arnold Palmer

The Entrepreneurship program is open to all Montclair State students, in every academic program, who have completed freshman English. It is founded on the core principle that creativity—and the ability to shape your creative ideas into successful opportunities—is the key to success in any field.

Our students are budding actors, designers, teachers, scientists, inventors and accountants. Classes are interactive and hands on, with leadership and direction from instructors and frequent visits from successful entrepreneurs such as the founders of Honest Tea and 1-800-GOT-JUNK.

You’ll learn to utilize three skills identified by Virgin Group founder Richard Branson as keys to business success: risk-taking, surrounding yourself with a great team and working on projects you really believe in.  And you’ll meet other students whose passions—from creating a new killer app to starting an all-night cookie delivery service—will lead to new innovations and productive partnerships.

As Meghan, a graphic design major, put it: “This program is totally different than anything else you’ll take at Montclair State. It really challenges your way of thinking.” Up to the challenge? Learn more.
