Featured Programs
Learning is part of everything we do, but it doesn’t always happen in a classroom. We have a variety of featured programs to help students grow.
Our students leverage what they learn in class to take a shot at winning a cash prize in our annual pitch contest. The contest is open to any Montclair State student, and is generously funded by AJ Khubani, an alumnus and the founder of TeleBrands. Our students have also participated in — and won awards — at the statewide collegiate UPitchNJ contest. The third annual UPitchNJ competition will be held April 20, 2018 at Montclair State.
The Feliciano Center holds a dozen or more events annually that are free and open to the public. These event help further our mission to blur the line of where the campus ends and the entrepreneurial community begins by bringing entrepreneurs and others in the community to our events to network with Montclair State students. Information about our events is posted at Montclair Entrepreneurs Meetup. One of our signature events each year is Women Entrepreneurship Week. This celebration of women founders has grown from an idea in a cubicle at Montclair State in 2014 into a global and national celebration in which scores of universities and nonprofits holding WEW events the third week of October.
Finally, our MIX Lab offers a window into the latest in innovation, 3D printing and digitally mediated making. The MIX Lab empowers our students—and the university, as a whole—to innovate faster, and collaborate among students, faculty and the greater community.
