As our fiscal year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support. Your generosity directly benefits our students and the entire campus community by providing the resources needed for us to offer the best education possible in today’s ever changing world. We greatly appreciate your dedication and commitment to the University and we look forward to your continued support.

Here are some highlights from the past year!

Red Hawk Pantry Campaign

Over the Summer months of 2016, we set out to raise $10,000 before the fall semester started for the Red Hawk Pantry, which opened last April. Not only were we able to surpass our goal, but we have continued to receive generous donations throughout the year from alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the University. Giving Tuesday

Montclair State University participated in our second-ever Giving Tuesday on November 29, 2016. Over 200 donors stepped forward and made gifts for a combined impact of over $11,000 in support of Montclair State University. Thank you to those of you that were inspired to make gifts in support of our mission. Generous donors like you serve as a powerful reminder of the impact Montclair State alumni, students, parents and friends have when we come together to make a difference.

Red Hawk Day of Thanks

As part of our annual participation in Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day, Montclair State University joined nearly 100 educational institutions in this worldwide effort to increase student understanding of philanthropy and to grow donor support on campuses. On February 23, over 1,300 students participated in our fourth annual Red Hawk Day of Thanks. Our students gained a better understanding that each and every gift – regardless of its size – sends a strong and convincing message about the loyal and dedicated support provided to Montclair State University.

Giving Day

On April 20, Montclair State participated in its second-ever Giving Day. Together, we raised over $40,000 from alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University—well exceeding our goal! Because you came together as part of the Montclair State community, all gifts added up to big change! Thank you for your continued support as we work to build an exciting hub of cultural and intellectual activity that enriches our students, our community and our state.

Count Me In 2017

Nearly 450 donors came together to raise over $16,000 as part of the Class of 2017 Count Me In Campaign. Funds raised went to the Red Hawk Pantry and Emergency Scholarship Fund, among other areas on campus. The Emergency Scholarship Fund has already helped 13 students work to complete their studies at Montclair State. The Emergency Scholarship Fund allows students who have fallen upon difficult financial circumstances to receive assistance in order to continue their education at Montclair State. Donations to this fun help to make a difference in the lives and experiences of Red Hawks for generations to come. This year, we incorporated the Count Me In campaign into our Commencement exercises.
