There are many ways to engage with Montclair State online. From recorded career events to lectures from faculty research, alumni can access all things Montclair State from the comfort of their homes or on their lunch breaks.

“In an effort to meet our alumni where they live – online – we have implemented a series of digital events to bring Montclair State to our alumni,” says Stacy Albanese ’08, ’17 MA, associate director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement.

The menu of digital engagement opportunities includes talks from faculty about their research, recorded career workshops and webinars about “adulting” topics – from student loans and financial literacy to self-care.

Most recently launched is a new series of onsite programming, showcasing areas of campus that may be of interest to alumni.

“We want to bring Montclair State to our alumni,” says Albanese. “We want to show off how great our campus is and encourage alumni to come back and see all we have to offer. But if you can’t make it back, at least you can enjoy these programs at your convenience.”

The new series includes partnerships with the College of the Arts and College of Education and Human Services so far, with more on the way. Alumni can learn all about the Food Science and Nutrition Labs in University Hall, as well as the George Segal Gallery.

The best part? All of our DigitalU programs are filmed, edited, and produced by students in the School of Communication and Media.

Alumni can access these recordings by signing into MONTCLAIRconnect, the exclusive online community. To learn more, visit montclair.edu/alumni or contact our office at 973-655-4141 or alumni@montclair.edu.
