From our affinity networks to volunteer opportunities, there are many ways for you to get involved as an alumnus/a of Montclair State University. Staying connected to your alma mater allows you to expand your network, gain new skills and give back to your community.

MONTCLAIRconnect
The best way to stay connected is through MONTCLAIRconnect, the online community exclusively for Montclair alumni. MONTCLAIRconnect serves as your portal to all things alumni – including valuable networking tools, a directory to search for classmates, affinity groups, listings of events and activities, access to benefits including career resources, special discounts and you can create your very own personal Montclair State University alumni Gmail account.

Affinity Networks
The Office of Alumni Engagement is your link to numerous affinity groups, such as the Attorney Alumni Network (AAN), Black Alumni Advisory Council (BAAC), Hispanic Latinx Alumni Network (HLAN), Recent Alumni Network (RAN) and Women’s Initiative Network (WIN). These groups plan events and activities ranging from social gatherings to career workshops to cultural outings to community service to lifelong learning opportunities.

  • Attorney Alumni Network (AAN) – The Attorney Alumni Network was formed to engage Montclair State University alumni who have gone on to become attorneys or are currently in law school. Members provide a valuable network for fellow alumni and offer support for Pre-Law Program initiatives, including speaking in a class, serving on a panel and providing internship opportunities.
  • Black Alumni Advisory Council (BAAC) – The Black Alumni Advisory Council was created to engage Black alumni in support of the Montclair State University mission of educational, institutional and overall university community initiatives, policies and activities that strengthen relationships with the Black community and promote social justice, equity and inclusion among alumni and students.
  • Hispanic Latinx Alumni Network (HLAN) – HLAN provides a space to connect the past, present and future Montclair familia! The Hispanic/Latinx Alumni Network will provide a forum to strengthen connections, ensure that the voices of the University Hispanic/Latinx constituency are heard and contribute to the betterment of the community.
  • Recent Alumni Network (RAN) – RAN works to meet the needs and interests of alumni from the past ten graduating classes. The group provides opportunities for networking, community service, cultural and professional development activities.
  • Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) – The Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) formed to engage Montclair State’s 93,000+ alumnae in the intellectual, cultural and educational life of the University. The objective of the group is to increase the number of women meaningfully engaged in University programs, empower the next generation of leaders and strengthen ties between and among alumnae and the University through a strong network of women committed to supporting Montclair State.

Volunteering
Volunteers are very important to the work of the Office of Alumni Engagement. The Office relies on volunteers to serve on alumni committees, help out at events like homecoming, host events outside of our local Montclair area and much more. Volunteers also serve as mentors to current students and fellow alumni, speak before classes or even serve on a panel.
