You don’t know me, but you’ve changed my life.

As a senior majoring in finance with a minor in entrepreneurship, I would not be able to complete my education without scholarship support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your past support of Montclair State University, which has made it possible for me – and students like me – to pursue our goals and dreams in attaining our degrees.

My road to graduation at Montclair State University has not been easy. I solely support myself, including my college education. Entering my senior year, I experienced a financial hardship and did not think I would be able to graduate. Just when I thought I had no options and nowhere to turn, Montclair State offered me a scholarship that allowed me to stay on track, and I will be able to walk with my classmates at Commencement in May.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to work hard. I am an aspiring entrepreneur and have started my own business. From conducting research to applying for a vendor number and getting the proper insurance, I worked diligently to make my company become a reality.

Montclair State is a campus where you can put your head down and get the job done, and it has been the perfect fit for me. In my time here, I have served as president of the men’s lacrosse club team, which has helped me develop social and leadership skills. My education has given me competitive skills that I am eager to apply in the workforce.

After graduation, I plan to begin my career in investment banking and stay connected to Montclair State as an active alumnus. And, I plan to pay it forward with scholarship support to future generations – so that I can change lives, just as you have done for me.

Please keep the promise of education alive for more students at Montclair State University and consider a gift to The Fund for Montclair State. Your gift helps the University support students as we work to learn, expand our horizons, dream big dreams and earn our degrees.

Best wishes to you and your family for a happy holiday season. To make an immediate impact during this season of giving, please make your gift on or before December 31.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Morgan
