Class of 1966 – 50th Reunion Recap

Congratulations to the Class of 1966 and thank you for celebrating with us on May 24 and 25, 2016!

Bravo and thank you to the members of Class of 1966 who participated in the May 2016 Reunion Celebrations!

1966 Reunion

A great time was had by all – whether participating the Cocktail Gathering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, leading the baccalaureate procession into Commencement, or spending the day on campus with friends and classmates for Coffee and Conversation, the Luncheon and Campus tours. Smiling faces, handshakes and hugs were in abundance. Check out the photos and see for yourself.

More than 100 folks participated in the two day celebration and almost In all, 11 states were represented among the members of the Class of 1966 who attended the festivities on May 25. Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey (of course), New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia all had representation.

Throughout the celebration, alumni enjoyed recalling campus life by looking through their yearbooks and joined together to sing the University’s Alma Mater before embarking on campus tours to witness the changes that have taken place since their days as students at Montclair State.

Special thanks to the Class of 1966 Reunion Committee:

  • Alvin M. Holtz (Social Sciences)
  • Judith A. Miller (Fine Arts)
  • Jacqueline Petit Poslusny (Home Economics)
  • Mary Bouton Weinheimer (Home Economics)
  • Frances Bagnato Witherington (English)

These classmates spent months preparing, planning and reaching out to classmates via phone and email to encourage participation. Their commitment to making this a successful reunion was evident by the turn out and the enthusiasm shown by all during the two day event.
