The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST) is located in the Sprague Library room 138. CAST offers free Tutoring, Peer Academic Coaching, Supplemental Instruction and Academic Workshops to all students on campus. In addition CAST supports student success in Academic Action and other special population groups on campus. The Center collaborates with academic and administrative departments to help students find their path to success at Montclair State University.

Friday 10am – 4pm
Saturday 10am – 3pm
Sunday 3pm – 9pm

Supplemental Instruction provides additional group instruction for students in especially difficult courses.
Workshops
Workshops provide non-subject academic help, like advice on fostering good study habits, taking notes in class and de-stressing before finals.
Our Center and team is certified by the National Tutoring Association (NTA) and College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA).
