The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring offers designated Study Hall hours to students in our partner programs who are looking for a quiet place to work independently. General tutors will also be available to assist with certain work and direct the student to a more specific tutor where needed.
A student who wishes to attend Study Hall and receive credit for attending is asked to:
- Check IN and OUT
- Set a S.M.A.R.T. Goal for their intended attendance time. S.M.A.R.T goals are specific, measurable, action oriented, realistic and time-bound. When parameters such as these are added to a task such as studying, studies show positive work outcomes.
- Students are allowed to attend for up to two hours at time before checking out for a half hour work break.
If you cannot attend Study Hall during the designated hours and would like to use the service, please provide a counselor approval prior to attending.
Study Hall will be conducted virtually in zoom break out rooms and in person in the Student Center Annex 207. Students can check in by following the tutoring appointment process in Navigate, selecting “Drop In” and selecting ” General Study Hall”. Please be aware sessions are capped at 10 students at once for both in person and online support.
Limited Study Hall Support will be available over campus breaks.
