Students battle for prize in ENTR 201 Brackets contest

Posted in: Uncategorized

March Madness has hit in the classrooms of ENTR 201 “Entrepreneurial Mindset and Innovation.” The 71 ENTR 201 students are competing in a contest centered around the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Students were randomly assigned to one of the 68 teams in the tournament. Because there are 71 students, two students were assigned to three of the number-one seeded schools (Faizaan Mir and Matthew Monaco for Kentucky, Nadeer Faragalla and Larissa Schumylowych to Villanova, and Amin Oliva and Monika Stekrova to Duke). The student assigned to the team that wins the NCAA tournament championship will receive $100. The cash prize was donated by an ENTR 201 professor. The students did not pay any money to enter the contest–they were randomly assigned to teams by ENTR 201 professors.
