ENTR students chosen for national pitch contest

Three Montclair State entrepreneurship students were selected to participate in a national pitch contest, ala “Shark Tank.”

The three seniors — Jessica Weinberg, Ryan Afflitto and Jacqueline Busichio — will compete in “The Big Sell” contest at Purdue University on April 18.

The students, whose team is All-Star Tailgates, have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help raise money for their travel expenses to Indiana for the contest. You can support the students’ efforts (and their dream!) by contributing. Contributions can be as small as $10, and a gift is included for each contribution.

Any extra money raised will go to funding the launch of their product, which is The Pregamer, an awesome cooler to be used at tailgates that has an 8ft long adjustable and portable table used for outdoor gaming such as beer pong, flip cup, corn hole, etc.

“We hope to revolutionize tailgating with your advanced outdoor gaming products,” said Weinberg.

The three students on the All-Star Tailgates team are:

–Jessica Weinberg, founder and CEO of All-Star Tailgates, is a senior majoring in Women and Gender Studies with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

–Ryan Afflitto, founder and COO of All-Star Tailgates, is a senior majoring in Marketing with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

–Jacquie Busichio, founder and CMO of All-Star Tailgates, is a senior majoring in General Humanities with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

All three students have earned the Feliciano Center’s Certificate of Entrepreneurship.

Even if you don’t contribute, make sure you mark your calendar for May 6 when All-Star Tailgates and nine other Montclair State student teams will compete at Montclair State (University Hall 7^th floor conference center) in the Feliciano Center’s annual student pitch competition, which features a $10,000 prize for the winning team.
