Marilyn Grabowski

Marilyn Grabowski leads three WBENC certified construction companies that service the utility industry. The first company, a paving business called Atlantic Infrared was founded in 2002, works to restore potholes for New Jersey’s major utilities. Atlantic Infrastructure was established in 2009 to install and maintain underground utilities, and Atlantic InfraTrac was founded in 2011 to provide services to support underground utility locating-Call Before You Dig (811).

As a young person, Marilyn was inspired by her maternal grandmother who founded and managed a custom home building company. In 1986 she graduated from Franklin and Marshall College with a degree in Chemistry.

Marilyn worked in sales, marketing, and training in the pharmaceutical industry for fifteen years. Today the “Lady in Red” uses her sales skills and unique marketing strategies to educate the construction industry on why her services are preferred.

Marilyn is a Past President of the Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council (SDDC) and received the SDDC Outstanding Service Award in 2009 and 2012. As early as 2008, the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) spotlighted Marilyn as a Top 30 Women in Business. In 2014 Marilyn was recognized as one of NJ Monthly’s Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs. In March of 2015 she received the Enterprising Women Award and NJ Biz’s Top 50 Women in Business.  She was named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in April of 2015.

Marilyn is a proud stakeholder of the New Jersey Common Ground Alliance where she serves as a Board Member. She is a Platinum member of the Women President’s Organization (WPO). She is on the Operations Committee of the New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA), and is a dedicated participant on the Construction Industry Advancement Program Committee for the Utility Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA), a member of the NJ Asphalt Association (NJAPA), and the Pt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce.

Marilyn lives with her husband Tom, children Allison and Joe in Point Pleasant Beach NJ.
