Chanda Gibson

Chanda is currently a Vice President in Corporate Services and Real Estate for Goldman Sachs. As the Global Head of Environmental, Social and Governance for her division, she manages the firm’s operational impact on people and the planet. Chanda’s responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of Goldman Sachs’ Environmental Policy as it relates to its own environmental footprint, along with Goldman Sachs’ Vendor Diversity Program and local community engagement efforts where the firm has major investments of real estate and people.

During her 13-year tenure at the firm, Chanda served as the Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs’ Firmwide Black Network for six years, and she is currently a member of her division’s People Development Committee. In 2012, Chanda was the pro-bono founding Executive Director of America Needs You – New Jersey, a non-profit organization that fights for economic mobility for ambitious, first-generation college students by providing transformative mentorship and intensive career development.

Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, Chanda practiced law at McKenna, Long & Aldridge and was the Director of the Office of International Projects for the Child Welfare League of America. Chanda received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Afro-American Studies with honors from Stanford University and a law degree from the University of Southern California.

Chanda lives in Jersey City with her sons, Cadeo and Zane.
