Nancy Gloor

Nancy Gloor is a certified executive coach who combines extensive experience in business with coaching and leadership development skills. Her approach to coaching leverages her experience as a senior leader in world-class, performance based companies to help her clients succeed. She works with clients across industries to develop, practice and apply proven techniques to manage their organizations more effectively and to achieve their personal career goals.

Nancy serves as an independent, objective partner providing a safe environment for learning and growth. She particularly focuses on helping leaders find their way through change – job changes, career advancement or aligning with organizational goals. She employs a full range of metrics, such as testing and 360 feedback, to provide her clients with practical information and tools to achieve results. Her aim is to help her clients recognize and overcome barriers to their success and to help companies fully leverage their employees’ diverse talents.

She provides external coaching for clients at the MD, SVP and Partner level in pharmaceuticals, finance, public accounting and technology. As a coach for the Schuster/Kane Alliance, she provides coaching and leadership consulting for clients in a West Coast utility. She is affiliated with Barnard College’s Athena Center for Women’s Leadership and has provided coaching through their program which has been run at top tier financial companies and at Cornell’s Johnson School.

Background Summary

Nancy has diverse professional experience. She recently retired from a 30-year career in Technology. At Goldman Sachs, where she was a Managing Director in Technology, she held several senior management roles, including EMEA Technology Head for FICC Sales and Trading, Operations, Controllers, Legal and Compliance, Global Head of Sales and Investment Banking Technology and was an architect of the firm’s application infrastructure. At Barclay’s Capital, she was a Managing Director and CIO of the Americas and Global Head of Fixed Income Trading Technology.

Nancy has always combined her background in counseling with her business acumen. In addition to managing teams at Goldman Sachs, she mentored and coached many new leaders. As a founder of the Women in Technology network, she established several leadership development programs that included coaching, advocacy and training. She also created, and led, an 18-month leadership development and acceleration program in Bangalore for potential Managing Directors. These successful programs are continuing and have helped to develop many new leaders at the firm.

Prior to her career on Wall Street, Nancy was a counselor and adjunct instructor of Psychology at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, New Jersey.
