Human Flourishing: A Training Series on Flourishing Competences
Mondays in Cole Hall. Please see the registration link for more details!
Posted in: Human Flourishing
The field of Human Flourishing takes an integrated and holistic approach to well-being, cultivating self-awareness, interconnectedness, personal values, and purpose.
Inspired by the transformative work of the Center for Healthy Minds (CHM) at the University of Wisconsin, led by psychologist and neuroscientist Richard Davidson, human flourishing is the development of well-being through cultivating mindfulness, awareness, connection, wisdom, and purpose. Well-being is a skill that can be learned and enhanced through training and practice. The Human Flourishing series will explore various dimensions and paradoxes of belonging within the context of Human Flourishing.
All of the Montclair State University community – students, faculty, and staff – are welcome to participate in the workshop. Light refreshments, sponsored by the Office of Student Belonging, will be provided.
Introduced by Elenice De Souza Oliveira, OFE Faculty Leader and Associate Professor, Justice Studies.
