VALE – Reciprocal Borrowing

Montclair State University faculty, staff and graduate students can borrow library materials from participating members of VALE (Virtual Academic Library Environment), a consortium of academic libraries in New Jersey. A list of participating VALE libraries is available at the Access Services Desk and on the VALE website.

To get a guest borrower card, present a photo ID and a signed, authorized VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Application Form which is available from the Access Services Department at Sprague Library, to the lending library. Guest borrower cards are valid for one (1) academic year and expire June 30.

Borrowing privileges are subject to the circulation policies of the lending library. Materials borrowed must be returned directly to the lending library.

Non-Montclair State University faculty, staff and graduate students from participating VALE institutions can borrow library materials from Sprague Library.
