FMS Update 09/08

Invoice Payments, Supplier Creation & Maintenance and Remote Off-Campus System Access

Dear Montclair State University Campus Community,

Following please find an update regarding the PeopleSoft FMS implementation:

Invoice Payments

Please note that per Finance Policy, you need to forward any hard-copy, paper invoices to the Accounts Payable Department via inter-office mail for payment, just as was done in the past.  However, the preferred, best practice method is to have the Supplier send these invoices directly to the Accounts Payable Office at 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ, USA 07043 for prompt payment.

Supplier Creation & Maintenance

The Supplier Create / Maintenance Form is located here.  Please note that the cycle time to add a new Supplier is five days and that there currently is a backlog due to many suppliers not having responded to the Supplier Survey that was previously sent.

Remote, Off-Campus System Access

Remote, off-campus system access to FMS is available via the Citrix XenApp available here.  After logging into the XenApp environment, click on the icon labeled “PeopleSoft Portal ”.  If you are not using an MSU-supplied computer you may be prompted to install the Citrix Receiver client software if it is not already installed on your machine.

FMS Scheduled Maintenance, Tuesday September 8, 6PM to 8PM

On Tuesday, September 8th, the FMS application will be taken off-line for scheduled maintenance between the hours of 6PM and 8PM.  During this time users will not be able to log into the system.

All FMS users should plan to complete any transactions prior to the start of the maintenance window.  A notification will be sent after the maintenance has been completed to communicate that the system is back online.
