The faculty of the PhD Program in Clinical Psychology are very proud of what our students accomplish during their time in the program.     • April 2023: Sadaf Khawar received the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP)/APA Division 53 Student Achievement Award in Clinical Practice for 2023. In addition to receiving a $1,000 award stipend, Sadaf’s name will be included in the official APA program, on the SCCAP53.org website, in the newsletter, via an announcement over the listserv, and announced during the SCCAP Awards ceremony at the APA Conference. This award provides a $5,000 stipend to support research efforts, a $500 to support research expenditures, and funds to support travel and attendance at the INSAR 2023 Annual Meeting.
    • February 2022: Sadaf Khawar was awarded the Diversity Travel Award by the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR). This award provides travel reimbursement of up to $1000 to help defray the costs of attendance at the INSAR 2022 Annual Meeting.
    • February 2022: Sadaf Khawar was awarded the SCCAP Diversity Professional Development Award from the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. This award is intended to support professional development opportunities of graduate students and early career professionals from diverse backgrounds.

    • May 2021: Sowmya Kshtriya was awarded the Healthy Living Grant ($1000) from the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)
    • April 2021: Jennifer Bartlett was awarded a $2000 grant from the American Academy of Forensic Psychology to help fund her dissertation, which examines whether trauma-exposed persons are at increased risk for false guilty pleas. Her study will be among the first to utilize an innovative simulation software designed by colleagues at UMass Lowell to enhance laboratory research on the study of false guilty pleas.
    • March 2021: Rachel McDonald was awarded the Student and Trainee Award ($500) from the International Society for Autism Research for her poster
    • March 2021: Petty Tineo was awarded the Diversity Travel Award ($300) from the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
