As your time as a student at Montclair State University comes to an end, let us be the first to celebrate you and welcome you to your alumni network – over 130,000 strong and growing! You’re joining a powerful group of Red Hawks working in virtually every profession, across all fifty states and worldwide. Your connection to Montclair State doesn’t end the day you graduate!

We are proud to announce that the Class of 2021 is leaving a lasting legacy at Montclair State with the Count Me In 2021 campaign. Already surpassing their landmark goal of raising $2,000 for the Emergency Scholarship Fund, you are now on your way to raising even more for fellow Red Hawks! Want to learn more about this campaign and how you can make your mark? Visit our website and campaign page. Bonus, there’s something in it for you, too!

In addition to paying it forward, the Class of 2021 has joined the Office of Alumni Engagement for some great events and activities. Did you miss Beginning Your Career: An Alumni Panel? In this event, graduating seniors, fellow students, and recent graduates learned what employers are looking for in a candidate, preparing them for the job search. Hosted by the Office of Alumni Engagement, the panel featured talent management professionals Keesha Chavis ’97, ’03 MA, associate vice president and chief human resources officer at Widener University; Chris Fitzpatrick ’04, campus relations manager at Crestron Electronics; and Bisrat ‘Bis’ Mekbeb ’01, vice president, lead HR business partner at Global Atlantic Financial Group.

Following this great career event was a networking event where we celebrated your accomplishments and got to test your knowledge with trivia! It’s not too late to share your news, either! Tell us what you’re up to after graduation or share a note of congrats to a friend or fellow graduate.

Rounding out of series of events designed for you is a Career Boot Camp coming up on June 2. The program will have two different webinars that cover everything from resumes and LinkedIn profiles to mastering a successful interview. As you begin your post-graduation career, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

We look forward to celebrating you and your accomplishments at our Commencement ceremonies in June.
