Alumni return to Montclair to celebrate milestone 50th reunion

University’s annual day of giving is elevated by special events showcasing diversity and community spirit

Forever revering her Montclair education, Arlene Crescenzi Allen ’64 left a transformational gift to the University that will assist generations of students in gaining their teaching education.

As Executive Vice President, Regional Businesses at Quest Diagnostics, Catherine T. Doherty ’84 is responsible for 90% of the company’s $10 billion annual revenue and 85% of its employees. As a member of the Feliciano School of Business Advisory Board, she is helping to ensure that Montclair’s business students get the highest value possible from their higher education investment.

In their newest book, Montclair Professors Emeriti Nicholas M. Michelli ’64 and Tina J. Jacobowitz lay out a rationale for education as the path to social justice. Through their scholarship support, they put their philosophy into action, supporting Montclair students who plan to teach in underserved urban communities.

Student leaders and alumni bonded at the launch of the University’s new SGA alumni affinity networking group — dedicated to building lasting bonds between current SGA representatives and the alumni whose Montclair days included SGA involvement.
