Hosted on August 18th, Instructional Technology and Design Services invites you to our faculty development event to help you get ready for the Fall semester! This event will start at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm.
The morning will include sessions focused on course design best practices, how to set up your Fall course in Canvas, as well as strategies for effective assessment and student engagement. These sessions are applicable to teaching in-person, online or hybrid. The afternoon will provide an opportunity for you to work on your course(s) with customized support from ITDS staff.

- 9:00 – 9:30am – Welcome and Course Design Best Practices
- 9:30 – 10:15am – Canvas: Ready, Set, Go! Preparing Your Courses for the Fall
- 10:30 – 11:15am – How to Assess Your Students and Set Up your Gradebook in Canvas
- 11:30am – 12:15pm – Promoting Student Engagement and Teamwork
- 12:15 – 1:00pm – Lunch Break
- 1:00 – 3:00pm – Open Work Time with ITDS Support
