Instructional Technology and Design Services (ITDS) invites you to our 2025 Summer Institute for Teaching, Learning and Technology. As we celebrate 20 years of teaching excellence, our faculty development event will include:
Keynote Speakers
- Day 1: Dr. Christina Katopodis, Mellon Senior Research Associate the City University of New York
- Inclusive Design with an Impact: Efficient and Effective Strategies to Motivate Student Learning
- Day 2: Dr. Kim Brilliante Knight, Associate Professor of Digital Humanities, San José State University
- Collaborate, Communicate, Champion: The Three Cs of Interdisciplinary Research and Teaching
Special Guest Sessions
- Special Guest Session (Day 1): Group Work Without the Groans: Cultivate a Collaborative Mindset and Digital Literacy – led by our keynote speaker, Dr. Christina Katopodis.
- Special Guest Session (Day 2): Using ChatGPT Plus to Develop Generative AI Assistants for Project-Based Classrooms – led by Dr. Steven Goss, Clinical Faculty and Chair at NYU School of Professional Studies
Join your Montclair colleagues as we come together to explore how we can intentionally design learning experiences that create lasting impact and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Annual Summer Institute! For two decades, this conference has been a hub for collaboration, innovation and transformative ideas in education.
This year’s theme, Designing for Impact, challenges us to rethink our pedagogical strategies, leverage new tools, and design meaningful learning experiences that drive impact through intentionality, inclusivity and innovation.
Together, we will discuss what the future of education might look like and ways to design for maximum impact. Each day will include a variety of presentations and workshops to inspire, support and engage.
