PALCI
PALCI Reciprocal On-Site Borrowing is a program in which many PALCI libraries have chosen to extend free library use and on-site borrowing privileges to the patrons of the other PALCI member libraries. Each PALCI library participating in this program has determined which categories of patrons (faculty, students, staff, etc.) from the other participating libraries are eligible to use their library and borrow materials on-site.

Non-University Affiliated Patrons from PALCI-Participating Libraries
Non-University affiliated patrons from PALCI-participating libraries can borrow physical materials from the Sprague Library (Montclair campus) or the Bloomfield College Library (Bloomfield campus). This service is limited to current faculty, staff, student, and emeriti from PALCI-participating libraries. PALCI Borrowers have equivalent privileges to Community Borrowers. Community members from PALCI-participating libraries that would like to borrow materials from Montclair State University Libraries should:
- Confirm that their home library is a participant in the program by consulting the list of participating libraries.
- Review the PALCI Reciprocal On-Site Borrowing Process and Procedures.
- Have their home library fill out the Reciprocal On-Site Borrowing Authorization Form. At this time, patrons should ask whether their home library receives returns for Reciprocal On-Site Borrowing. If not, all materials checked out from the Montclair State University Libraries must be returned to either the Sprague or Bloomfield College Library.
- Bring their form to the Front Desk at either the Sprague Library (Montclair campus) or Bloomfield College Library (Bloomfield campus) during open hours.
- Reviewing the Montclair State University Borrower’s Policy and procedures.
Non-University affiliated patrons from PALCI-participating libraries, once registered, are considered in good standing for one year.
